Doctor of Medicine Program
The curriculum of medical education programs jointly produced by the Department of Medical Services and Rangsit University is called the “Doctor of Medicine Program,” with a specialization in Medicine. The degree is called “Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)” in English and “แพทยศาสตรบัณฑิต (พ.บ.)” in Thai. The program spans 6 years, divided into preclinical studies from Year 1 to Year 3 and clinical studies from Year 4 to Year 6.
The total number of credits for the program is 248 credits.
Curriculum Structure
Group 1: RSU Identity – 3 credits
Group 2: Internationalization and Communication – 12 credits, divided into 2 subgroups:
- Subgroup 2.1: English Language – 6 credits
- Subgroup 2.2: International Language and Experience – 6 credits
Group 3: Interdisciplinary – 15 credits
1) Basic Science Courses – 3 credits
2) Basic Professional Courses – 66 credits
3) Professional Courses – 143 credits
- Mandatory Professional Courses – 131 credits
- Elective Professional Courses (these courses are to enhance learners’ competencies, emphasizing institutional priorities, or based on learners’ interests) – 12 credits
